Valley Youth Theatre Elects Gammage & Burnham Partner Pamela G. Georgelos to the Board

Gammage & Burnham is pleased to announce that partner Pamela G. Georgelos was elected to the Board for the Valley Youth Theatre (VYT). The firm is a long-time supporter of VYT, with other attorneys previously serving on the board, as well as continuously sponsoring their annual fundraising event, VYTal Affair, in August.

Established in 1989, VYT’s mission is to inspire young people to be the best they can be through a variety of performing arts opportunities. Along with their six annual mainstage performances, VYT offers eight-week Fall, Winter and Spring performing arts classes, as well as Spring Break and Summer Camps.

Legal Alert – New Form I-9 To Be Released

On Friday, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) announced a new version of the Form I-9. Among other changes, the new version has been condensed and comes with clearer instructions. Employers can start using the new version of the Form I-9 as early as August 1, 2023. For employers that need more time to update their processes, the 2019 version of the Form I-9 can be used until October 31, 2023.

USCIS also now permits employers enrolled in good standing in E-Verify to remotely examine employee’s documents via live video.
