Movie night with a bonus?
On October 29, 2004, Christina Labajo bought the movie “White Chicks-Unrated,” along with a Dr. Pepper and peanut M&Ms at Best Buy. Labajo v. Best Buy Stores, L.P., 478 F. Supp. 2d 523 (U.S.. S.D.N.Y., 2007). She went to pay for the purchase with her debit card and was told by the sales clerk that she could get a free subscription to Sports Illustrated.

Mike King and Tim Forsman to lead Legal Insights Lunch on Digital Transactions
BEYOND THE SIGNATURE: eTransactions & Digitizing Credit Contracts
On August 7th, Michael King and Tim Forsman will explain the basics of the federal Electronic Signatures and teach how the principles of eTransactions apply to the day to day issues encountered by credit managers in an interactive presentation for Southwest Business Credit Services.
Quite often, credit managers encounter electronic document and signature issues. This presentation will explain the basics of the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (“ESIGN”) and the Uniform Electronic Transaction Act (“UETA”).
