PHOENIX – Gammage & Burnham is pleased to announce that Heather Boysel and Susan Demmitt were selected for inclusion in AzBusiness Magazine’s annual “Top 100 Lawyers in Arizona” list for 2024. As stated by the publication, recognized individuals were selected from a pool of the state’s most talented and successful attorneys. Selections were made based on each lawyer’s professional success, as well as the impact on their firm, and the communities they serve.

Heather Boysel leads the Healthcare Group at Gammage & Burnham, and previously served as the Managing Partner for the firm for more than four years.

Legal Alert – The Corporate Transparency Act: What it Means for Your Business

In January 2021, Congress passed the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), which introduced federal reporting obligations for countless private companies that had previously been exempt from disclosing ownership information. Regulations implementing the CTA came into effect as of January 1, 2024.

With some notable exceptions, most legal entities incorporated, organized, or registered to do business in the United States are now considered to be “reporting companies” that must disclose information relating to their owners, officers and controlling persons with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a division of the U.S.
