On Friday, January 19th, 2018, Founding Partner Grady Gammage, Jr. took the stage with former U.S. Senator Jon Kyl at an event titled “Water in Arizona: Our Past, Present and Future.” This event, hosted by the Arizona Chamber Foundation, Prosper Arizona, and the ASU Kyl Center for Water Policy featured an in depth discussion between Gammage and Kyl about the state of water in Arizona. The event welcomed a range of attendees, from legislators and policy makers to business leaders and educators, all interested in understanding how our future will flow.
In conjunction with the talk, Prosper Arizona published a policy brief to summarize the state of water in Arizona. The paper provides a guide to understanding water in Arizona by outlining the history of water planning in the state, the status of Arizona’s water situation in light of the ongoing drought, and the options for moving forward as Arizona works to modernize its water management system.
