Firm Client Carvana May Open Tempe Location
G&B client Carvana could be opening its first Arizona location in Tempe soon. Carvana officials are asking the Tempe City Council to allow the company to build a glass, nine-story vending machine and allow automotive retail on land that was designated to be a general industrial district. The location would be a vacant lot at the northwest corner of Gilbert Drive and Scottsdale Road, north of Loop 202. The entire car buying experience takes place online. While traditional car dealerships can take up 10 to 20 acres of land, the area Carvana is aiming to develop is only 2 to 3 acres.
