Since graduating law school in 2012, James has developed extensive experience in the real estate and commercial lending practice areas, and has made a name for himself for his ability to successfully manage complex transactions and develop creative solutions to intricate legal problems. He frequently represents banks and other financial institutions in documenting asset-based loans, real estate acquisition loans, construction loans, and timeshare receivables and resort development loans. He also devotes his practice to representing publicly traded homebuilders and other real estate developers throughout Arizona in a variety of developments, including master-planned communities and mixed-use commercial developments.

While much of James’ experience includes representing high-profile institutions in multi-million dollar transactions, he has a penchant for and is energized by helping small business owners navigate day-to-day matters, including lease review and negotiation, entity formation, real estate acquisitions, and negotiation of loans with banks and financial institutions.

James was born in Canada and enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He also enjoys the title of Gammage & Burnham’s first–and only–office foosball champion.
