Ina Cohen is a corporate and M&A attorney with significant cross-border experience who advises businesses and investors on complex transactions and strategic corporate matters. She combines hands-on deal execution with practical business judgment across mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate governance matters, with additional experience in real estate transactions.
Ina is an attorney with Gammage & Burnham’s Corporate Practice Group, where she represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, financings, and general corporate matters. She serves as the primary legal advisor throughout the transaction process, coordinating diligence, specialists, opposing counsel, and business stakeholders to execute deals efficiently. Her work includes structuring transactions and negotiating purchase agreements, operating and stockholder agreements, credit documents, and related closing documentation.
She regularly counsels companies on governance, restructurings, financings, and regulatory risk, delivering clear, business-focused advice aligned with commercial objectives. Ina has executed M&A transactions ranging from $1.5 million to $200 million, including both asset and equity deals across multiple industries.
Before relocating to Arizona, Ina practiced law in Europe for several years, advising domestic and international clients in Bulgaria on formations, reorganizations, M&A transactions, financings, tax structuring, and loan restructurings. She also created and scaled Passports.BG, a niche business-immigration platform serving foreign investors and entrepreneurs.
Ina obtained her first law degree, with honors, from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in Bulgaria. After moving to Arizona, she earned her second Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. She is admitted to practice in Arizona and Bulgaria, advising clients across two jurisdictions and two continents.
Outside of her practice, Ina enjoys spending time with her family, playing bass guitar, tennis, going to concerts, cooking, traveling, reading biographies, and is an avid fan of 80s and indie rock music.
