Grady Gammage, Jr. to Participate in Desert River-City River Event

Grady Gammage, Jr. has been invited to participate in the Desert River-City River Event set for June 3rd at Shade Gallery/MonOrchid in downtown Phoenix.
Downtown Phoenix Shade Gallery/MonOrchid will be holding a one-man art show (opening on First Friday June 3rd) featuring landscape paintings by the classically trained artist Tony Winters. These paintings are focused on desert rivers and how the Valley of the Sun gets its water as he traces the path from the White Mountains to Phoenix swimming pools.
From parched apocalypse to oasis garden city, debates over the future of America’s west get louder each year, increasingly focused on the one subject that can’t be ignored—water. In June, 2016, Shade Gallery at MonOrchid will present “Desert River/City River,” a one-man show of paintings by New York artist Tony Winters, visions of the magical landscape—part natural, part man-made—that makes up the Phoenix watershed.
