Her clients are involved in a wide range of businesses, many with an emphasis in real estate. She regularly advises her clients with regard to corporate governance issues, employment-related matters and the broad spectrum of challenges that confront business owners and those wanting to become business owners. Prior to joining Gammage & Burnham as a partner in early 2008, Ms. Nolan was a founding partner of Polese, Hiner & Nolan, P.A. (which was formed in 1988) and of Polese, Pietzsch, Williams & Nolan, P.A. (which started business in 1995). Ms. Nolan is active in a number of legal-related pursuits. She has served as volunteer bar counsel, representing the Arizona State Bar in actions against attorneys for alleged violation of the ethical rules of practice. She also served as a hearing officer for the Supreme Court of Arizona, hearing disciplinary matters involving attorneys, licensed legal document preparers and court reporters. She served on the Arizona State Bar’s Creditor/Debtors Rights Committee for several years and acted as its secretary from 1996 through 1998, and was active for many years with the Alumni Association of the Arizona State University College of Law. She has been on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees since 1999 and has served as its treasurer and its president. She also serves as the Foundation’s grants coordinator, organizing the Foundation’s annual grants to organizations and projects that help provide access to the legal system for those who, because of a lack of funds or other disadvantages, would be left without meaningful access to the courts. Ms. Nolan’s love of the visual arts has led to her considerable involvement with Phoenix Art Museum. A long-time museum volunteer, she organized and chaired a very successful outreach to the young professional population in the late 1990s, and has served on the museum’s Board of Trustees since 2001 and has been its corporate secretary since 2005. |
